Artist in pencil and brush strokes

Welcome to my webshop and portfolio

Hello! and great that you clicked to my website and to my colourful world of lines and brushstrokes.

I am a newly started visual artist - and I express my fascination with wildlife and nature in the magic of watercolours as the medium I mainly work with.

Are you looking for a unique and exclusive work of art, on original 310g archers  paper and where the personal contact is direct to the artist?

then you've come to the right place and I hope you find a work of art that can fascinate you as much as me when I translated my impression from reference to the finished work of art.

I use primarily - watercolour, marker, Faber Castell colored pencils and pastel pencils for personal orders. My original works of art and art prints can be purchased in my  webshop.

Gicleè Art Prints are an alternative to my original works. This is not a mass-produced poster print, but instead a reproduction of my original works in a very limited edition of max 25 most a serie of 10 numbered pieces.

Its comes in a very high quality at reasonable prices and where the highest quality is the priority - unique and original art costs - but here you buy a signed art print on quality paper which is almost identical to the original. I only use quality materials in both paper and pigments.

contact if necessary with questions about interest in my art works that are not listed in the webshop

Giclée Art Print?

An art print is a reproduction of an original work of art in a limited edition. A print can be produced by different methods and on different materials. Therefore, there is also a big difference between a real art print vs. poster. The prints you can buy on my site are produced using the Giclée printing method.

Giclée is a method of producing high-quality prints using a certified inkjet printer with 12 colors. A Giclée print must meet a number of standards, e.g. the light fastness of the ink must be higher than 6 and the weight of the paper must be min. 250 gsm. The high requirements mean that you get an art print that is printed on high-quality paper and that is long-lasting, has bright and nuanced colors. Each individual art print is printed from one of my original watercolor paintings, which have been digitized and subsequently printed as Giclée art. They are printed on Canson Arches Aquarelle Rag 310 gram white cotton paper and with a surface texture like watercolor. When ordering an art print, you get a signed piece of art that is printed in a very limited edition. The number of prints may vary but will always be shown on the print itself. You will therefore see on the print that there is e.g. stands 5/10. This means that it is a Limited Edition Art Print, where this print is No. 5 out of a total of 10 prints. Posters and prints can be bought online in many different web shops and where they have a large selection of prints. Original and unique works of art cost money. by purchasing a limited edition art print you get an exclusive high-quality print of the original both in color reproduction and paper type and which is only sold in a few editions you buy the art directly from the artist. all prints sold are personally signed before dispatch.

About me

as an artist

Who am I?

Hi, my name is Tania Stark and I'm a newly started visual artist

The creative strokes has always been a part of me for as long as I can remember.

My first pencil lines have, however, developed over the years via several different media. such as acrylic, charcoal, marker, colored pencils, pastels and watercolour.

Drawing and painting have become a part of me which I convey through my works, even some of my personal traits are reflected in my art. - I am sensitive, detail-oriented, quality-conscious, experimental and strong-willed.

Watercolour in particular has become an integral part of my life over the last few years. It has captured my passion that has led me to dedicate most of my time to refining to still pursue the perfect expression - The delicate transparent interplay of colours and textures in the magic of watercolour, but also how watercolour can be combined with other media such as ink and colored pencils.

Watercolour does not leave much room for mistakes. A medium that requires a lot of planning and skills. Time is decisive in the painting process - techniques such as, - wet on wet, - layer upon layer, - choice of colours and the balance between water and pigment etc. as soon as water is applied to the paper, the clock starts ticking and will influence the result

- Watercolour will always be the most difficult and seductive craft to master.

My desire to master watercolor has made me accepting that mistakes are inevitable, and the frustrations when the outcome was not as expected is exactly what has improved my techniques and still does. mastering watercolor is an eternal learning.

I sometimes repaint previous art work that I painted years ago. It gives me a hint that I am constantly learning and acquiring new techniques.

Nature is one of the fundamental aspects of my life, in which I find peace and whose beauty in flora and fauna keeps me grounded whether it is the bird life in my garden or when I travel to distant contries.

Especially birds from all corners of the world can fascinate me. my favorit, however, is the small kingfisher which can be seen not only in Asia but also in Denmark. Nature experiences are attractive to me and they are in themselves some of my most important sources of inspiration  - I often paint in detail and my style is to highlight the beauty and tune in to mysubject.

my choices of reference images are also my way of telling what I am concerned with here and now.
